Day 56 – Mountain Trails

Exercise.

I am one of those people that would rather spend a whole day wondering around the woods, discovering new trails in the mountains, or climbing waterfalls than spend even 20 minutes on a treadmill.

Last weekend I did just that.

The sounds of nature, the cool breezes, the vibrant trees that show a beauty to death, the paths that seem to lead deeper and deeper into mysterious lands.

I felt refreshed in every way.

Soon the snow will come and times like these will become sparse and difficult to accomplish, yet as the northern hemisphere prepares for a season of rest, may we also find rest in it’s peace and refreshing abilities.

Health is so much more than a number on a scale… I only wish I had fully embraced that earlier on in life.
