Day 123 – Paklava

I made this for a family dinner last Sunday (one of many when families don’t blend well!) and was reminded how yummy it was! I hope you all enjoy it!

Ingredients:
1 Package phyllo dough
2 Sticks of butter (made into clarified butter) — also can use ghee here!
2 Cups of honey (melted)
2 Cups nuts

Take a 9×13 pan, butter the bottom, and place the first piece of dough into the pan, cover that with butter and repeat until 1/4 of the pan is full.

Add 1/4 of the honey and nuts, evenly across the surface.

Continue with layering dough and butter until the pan is half full.

Add 1/4 of the honey and nuts, evenly across the surface.

… and repeat until the pan is full!

On the final piece of dough, fully cover edges and everything with butter, then bake at 425 degrees F, 220 degrees celsius until golden brown. (in my oven that take around 20 minutes, however it varries!)

Cut into diamond shapes, or whatever shape you would like! Serve hot or cold! 🙂
