Day 165 – Sautéed Beans

Beans are delicious!… at least in my opinion! 😉 I’ve had them on multiple continents in multiple different dishes, so this month the recipes will be focused on green beans!

To start off, I’ll share a family favorite… Sautéed Beans!

Ingredients:
2 lbs. green beans (snapped to remove ends, then snapped into about 1 in. or 10 cm. pieces)
1 medium onion
5 cloves of garlic (or about 1 Tbsp. pre diced garlic)
1 lb. mushrooms (sliced thinly)
2 Tbsp. oil
1 Tbsp. butter

Method:
Sauté onion, garlic, and mushrooms in the oil and butter until the onions are soft and see through. Add in green beans and sauté for about 15 minutes.
To add some crispness, transfer everything into a glass baking dish and bake for 15 minutes at 350F/180C. (No need to do the last part if you don’t have an oven! 🙂)
